I've finally paid my deposit to McGill University, and will hopefully be an official student there in Fall 2008.. I had to turn down offers of admissions from some lovely schools such as University of Virginia and Washington University in St Louis, and it was a very hard decision for me, but I've made it.. One of the main reasons was Montreal (and Canada in general), but the better quality and reputation of the academic programs were also a huge boost. I'm excited about the prospect of studying and living there for the next 4 years.

There are still many choices to make, like the residence I'll stay in and the courses I'll take. Oh, and the official application papers for visa and study permit remain to be filled in and submitted. I was hoping to finally have more free time after all that rush, but I guess I'll have to wait for summer to arrive for that
